| Family: | I married Joel Poley of Natick (class of 1957) in Dec. 1958, we were married 34 yrs. Moved to California in 1965. We have 4 sons and 1 daughter, (4 children are in California, 1 in New Jersey). We have 6 granddaughters and 6 grandsons. Three of our children were born in MA, 2 in CA. I remarried in 1994 (Don Sechrest) and have added 2 step-sons and 2 step-granddaughters. Don was a native Californian, but the children are in Phoenix. Don died last Thanksgiving from cancer. I travel to Phoenix and to New Jersey often. |
| Education: | After High School I was busy raising a family and relocating to the West Coast. I went back to school in 1988 and graduated with a Batchelor's Degree from CSUS in 1992! Obviously I was one of the "older" members of my graduating class. |
| Work: | Someone said in their remarks that we had been blessed with a great education at WHS. This is so true. When I came to California I discovered just how great the training for young people in Wellesley had been. While I have spent most of my life raising children, when I had the opportunity to work, I found myself well prepared. For the past 10 years I have been a Real Estate Agent in the Greater Sacramento Area. |
| Achievements: | In 62 years I have raised a family, finally graduated from college, put 3 of our 5 children through college, and found meaning in an eternal plan. |
| Comments: | Thank you again Dottie and Walter what a kind thing to bring us together. I am looking forward to coming to the reunion. This wonderful website is filled with mixed feelings. I am so sad to hear of the passing of so many classmates. I am particularly sad to hear our class is without Mary Stanley. She was my "class twin," we were born on the same day in the same hospital. I also miss my dear friend Nancy Mosher. She was a most valiant person. I am excited to join you in catching up on this website and at the reunion. I love the pictures! What a great looking bunch!
