My now reside in upper state NY.  The house is 5 minutes away from one of my daughters, Melissa, (who teaches art at the high school in the next town).  She & her husband Chris have a darling two year old and being nearby is a treat.  I also have a daughter, Tanya, in Michigan so that is drivable.  She and her husband have 3 little ones, ages 7, 5, & 2.  I am a mild and cookies grandma (although called various names like Graham Cracker, Maimie, and Gramster!).  We have a lot of fun.  My son Tim, after attending Tulane Law, married Alison from Lafayette, Louisiana.  They live in Savannah, GA where Tim established a law firm and Alison is an occupational therapist.... so they are permanent southerners.

My husband worked for the International Division of Bausch & Lomb.  We traveled allot and met many interesting people.  At a time when our oldest two were married, we were asked by Bausch & Lomb to go out to Malaysia and cover South east Asia.  That was 1996.  by 1997 we had bought a house for retirement in South Carolina and when life's circumstances changed (eventually ending in divorce in 2000), I became resident in South Carolina.  The blessing of that was being able to go through a life transition in a beautiful place within a wonderful church community and very close to our son and daughter-in-law in Savannah, GA.  It was hard to leave family, friends, and climate in April, but this move to New York has been just what I needed in the end.
