It would seem that I left the class so long ago that I'm not even considered missing. In any event, I thought I'd drop in to say hello, bring you briefly up to date with me, and hope to hear from some of you. After 9th grade, I went away to prep school and then, following 10th grade, moved to New York with the family. After my own graduation in '58 and a brief foray into higher education, I spent 3 years in the Army, most of the time in Germany. I finally got my act together, came back to Boston and graduated from B.U. I started working at Gillette and stayed there for 6 or 7 years. I then worked at a small, growing, "high tech" type of outfit where I was the "financial guy". I had a great time, but after 7 or 8 years, all good things came to an end, so I left and have been working for myself ever since. Now, I consult with a group of small companies on how best to manage their financial and administrative affairs. Of course, as with most small companies, that means you wind up doing most of the work yourself. Somewhere along the line I got married and have two sons: Peter, 15, and Matthew, 17. They both attend Newton North High School and seem to be doing reasonably well, all things considered. My wife, Danielle, is a schoolteacher in Cambridge where she's been teaching for about 30 years. In my spare time I stay pretty busy being involved in youth activities: I run the local Little League and a Boy Scout Troop. I used to do a lot of sailing (both off-shore and cruising) and digging around in family history and genealogy. Now that the kids are demanding less of my time, albeit more of our money, I hope to get back involved in these things. Well, there's 45 years in 500 words or less. I think the web site is fantastic and a great way to stay in touch, so please let me hear from you folks.
