Reading, sewing, my grandchildren
My husband is James W. Jordan and is presently retired from Bell Helicopter. He was recently called back to Bell to help with a special project. What was to be working 20 hours a week soon became 40 hours a week. Jim will be 71 in November this year and can run circles around me! Bell is now talking about keeping him on "retainer", so we'll see. I have two children, Laura Ann Sheehan & William Charles (Chuck) DeFlumere. Laura lives in San Leandro California and recently graduated (again) as a Doctor of Chiropractic. She earned her BS in Nursing in 1989 and worked up to and during her latest degree as a NeoNatal Intensive Care Nurse. She is also a registered massage therapist and is presently looking into buying a chiropractic practice with her long time friend who is also a DC. Laura has never married. After graduating in June of this year she went on a trip to the Amazon River with a group of doctors to treat the various problems of the natives in a small village. She then traveled on to Machu Pichu (?sp) and can't wait to go back. Chuck is an independent contactor specializing in remodeling and is divorced and has three children. He is doing very well and is engaged to a wonderful woman who is an artist. Chuck's children are teenagers now and live in Dallas. I see them all the time.
I graduated from Wellesley High School, class of 58 and since then have taken many different business courses in the local junior colleges.
Presently I am employed with A-Affordable Insurance in Addison, Texas. We sell automobile insurance. I have an adjuster's license and am the Claims Office Manager. Our company was recently bought by Instant Insurance Holdings and along with AAF MGA, they also bought Harbor MGA & Old American MGA. They also own Instant Auto and another auto insurance company located in Chicago. I've been with AAF MGA for over 5 years. Before that, I've tried my hand at being a business owner.
I'm quite proud of my children and grandchildren and have a wonderful relationship with my husband. I'm a member of the American Legion, Post 379, the largest Post in the great State of Texas. My husband is 1st Vice Commander this year and we both volunteer and join in most of the different activities.
I love going to our class reunions and can't wait to go to our next one. It's always wonderful to see old friends and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone.
