Traveling, reading, spending time with family, spending time in the mountains of NH and Maine
My husband of 25 years is Leo Surette. I have one stepson, Stanley, who is married and has three wonderful children,a fifteen year old and thirteen year twins. I have a daughter, Amanda, who will be graduating from Colby College in Maine this May.
I have a BA from Regis College (French major and Spanish minor). I received a MEd. from Suffolk University and continued with advanced courses in education through Salem State and Fitchberg State(only because the state of MA has made us get recertified every 5 years)
This is my 39th year of teaching and THANK GOD my last. I am retiring!!!!!!!!!!!! I have taught in Dedham since 1973. Before that time I taught in parochial schools in Arlington, Medford, South Boston and the South End. Finally, THE TIME HAS COME!
Oh my! Having taught over 4,000 students I guess is an achievement. Also I have presented at several conferences such as MAFLA and NELMS giving ideas and ways to better reach students in foreign language classes. (Not the way we were taught)
Thanks to all who have made and are making this website and reunion possible and available. Where have all of these years gone? I would love to hear from you before we get together. A special thanks to you Walter since I can barely turn the computer on and off and get my email. The website is terrific. Also, another special thanks to Dottie who has kept all of us connected. Merci beaucoup and muchas gracias.
