| Family: | Married Bill Walton, of Hampton, VA, in 1968 and acquired two daughters, Sabrina and Valerie, who were 11 and 9 years then. Had a son, Aaron, in 1970. Lost Bill to a cancer in February, 2008, and moved back to Boston in September, 2011, for proximity to family and real winters! Loving my apartment in the former Roslindale High School, close to shops, library, Arboretum, and T. |
| Education: | B.A. in English Lit, Brown, 1962; M.A. in English Lit, U. Michigan, 1964; M.A. in Communication Disorders, Hampton Institute, 1984. |
| Work: | Retired from a checkered career, including short stints teaching English and working as a speech-language pathologist, and fifteen years as a cued English transliterator for deaf kids. Volunteered as Court-Appointed Special Advocate for children in foster care for five years in Virginia, now a volunteer reading tutor in a Boston elementary school. |
| Achievements: | A relatively simple life. |
