Dottie graduated from Wellesley High School with the class of 1958. Over the years Dottie worked for the Shipley Company, Honeywell and Prime Computer. She then moved to California to be close to her son and her favorite place, the beach. Dottie was a devoted dog lover and adopted her beloved Chihuahuas. Her zest for life and love of friends will be missed. Please make any donations in Dottie's memory to the dog shelter of your choice. Nov 1, 2014 David made friends and established a home in communities everywhere he went. He enjoyed the ocean, fishing, playing volleyball, the camaraderie of many social groups and traveling up and down the east coast in his beloved Mazda Miata visiting family and friends. He will be missed by dear friends, Judy, Donna, Bob, Mark, Skip, Bill, Rex, Paul, Tony the Cat and many others. David is a United States Marine Corps veteran. He worked in technology for Honeywell, Raytheon, GTE Government Systems; later working for First Security Services and Hawaiian Tropic. Per his request, his ashes will be spread over the ocean, with a U.S.M.C. memorial plaque placed by his mother's grave at Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury, MA; a town where David spent summers on the beach with his family as a boy. Joan MorisonJoan passed away on April 24, 2012, in Phoenix, AZ. She was born in 1940 to Kenneth and Margaret Morison, and grew up largely in Wellesley, MA. After graduating from Brown University in 1962 with a B.A. in physics, she worked for the Air Force on several projects, notably programming the 1000-foot Arecibo radio telescope. In 1966, she married Glenn Bennett. They and their two children lived in California and Pennsylvania before moving to Arizona in 1985. Joan served on the board of the Deer Valley Unified School District from 1993-2004, and was deeply involved in other volunteer work. She was appointed to the Deer Valley Village Planning Committee, served on the Desert Sage Campus Improvement Team, and was a longtime volunteer at the Pueblo Grande Indian Market. She is survived by her husband Glenn, sister Ann, brother Richard, son Steven, daughter Karen, son-in-law David, and, in a few weeks, her first grandchild. An open house will be held at her home on Saturday, April 28 from 5-8 PM. April 2, 2012 HAMILTON – Christopher O. Holman, of Hamilton, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 2, 2012, at his place of residence. He was born on March 9, 1939 in Wellesly, Mass. the son of the late Lester O. Holman and Jean Holman Simpson. Chris was raised in Wellesley where he graduated from High School in 1958, after which he joined the USMC. Following serving in the Marines he worked as an apprentice in the machine shop in Massachusetts. He then moved to San Jose, Calif. where he attended San Jose State College. During the Vietnam conflict Chris worked on top secret military projects for the Itek Corporation. When there he met Betty Caver and they married on July 27, 1963. Tired of city life he and his family moved to Hamilton in June 1969. In the early 1970s he started Holman Machine Shop. He worked on various projects such as making optical parts for radiation therapy equipment that are used worldwide. Chris was an avid military collector and gunsmith. He loved to target shoot, hunt and watch the wildlife. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, supported the Bitterroot Humane Association, and attended the House of Praise Church in Victor. He is survived by his wife Betty of Hamilton; daughter, Lora and husband Robert Eschenbacher of Spokane, Wash.; two granddaughters, Kelsey Knight of Spokane, Wash. and Lindsay Knight of Hamilton; son, Jeff Cargile of Hamilton; sister, Ann (Ev) Keech of Devon, Pa.; brother, Steve Holman of NorthEast, Md.; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7 at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton with Pastor Jim Andrusky officiating. A reception will follow in the Daly-Leach Community Room. July 3, 2011 Carolyn Young Worthington, 70, beloved wife of Frank M. Worthington, and mother of Kenneth B. Worthington, passed away on Sunday, July 3. She was surrounded by her family at Morristown Memorial Hospital as she succumbed after a nearly four-year battle with ovarian cancer. Carolyn grew up in Wellesley, Mass., and was a longtime resident of New Vernon, N.J., and Vero Beach, Fla. She graduated from Garland Junior College in Boston, and the University of New Hampshire, and earned a master's degree from the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University. A registered dietitian, Carolyn ran a successful executive recruiting agency, Carolyn Worthington Associates, for 33 years, focusing on the health care and hospitality industries. An avid golfer, she was a member of numerous clubs, including Morris County Golf Club, the Indian River Golf Club, Hawks Nest, and Quail Valley River Club. An active, vibrant individual, Carolyn was also a member of the Morristown Club, Park Avenue Club, New Vernon Garden Club, and Indian River Garden Club. She also volunteered for the Kaleidoscope Committee for the Morris Museum. A descendant of Rev. Daniel Wilkins, a Pilgrim and a founder of the Amherst, N.H., Congregational Church, she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Colonial Dames of America. Mrs. Worthington also leaves behind a sister, Lois Jane Young of Wellesley, Mass.; a daughter-in-law, Julie Creswell, and two grandchildren. A service was held in New Vernon, N.J. |

July 15, 2010 Age 70, of Hockessin, DE, formerly of Simsbury, CT, died on Thursday July 15, 2010. Ann grew up in Wellesley, MA and was a 1958 graduate from Wellesley High School in Massachusetts. In 1962 she graduated from Connecticut College where she received her B.A. degree in history. She taught third grade in the New London, CT public schools from 1962-1963. She also taught at the Eglin Air Force Base elementary school from 1963-1965 and the West Middle School in Hartford, CT from 1965-1969. She also worked at Arrowhead Nurseries from 1969-1976, Delaware Nature Society from 1977-1990 and the Mount Cuba Center from 1990-2009. Ann was active in Child and Family Services in the Hartford area. After moving to Delaware, she became a docent at Winterthur for two years before devoting herself full-time to the Nature Center as receptionist, guide and store manager. In 1990, she became a docent at the Mount Cuba Center. Her passion in life was teaching, both to children and adults. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jocelyn in 2009 and by her granddaughter, Amelia in 1997. She is survived by her husband, Ed of Hockessin; son David and his wife, Kelly and their children, Sierra, Carson, Nolan and Savannah, all of Cincinnati, OH; granddaughter, Caroline Ritchie of Hockessin; and informally adopted sister, Joyce Stark of Ramona, CA. Funeral services will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date. New York, NY on Oct 9, 1938, he was the son of Ralph P Lapham and
Edna Daunbacher. Raised in West Concord, MA and Wellesley, MA.,
after graduating high school he served his country in the USAF from
1958 to 1962. He married June Walsh in 1967 and had two sons
Mark Lapham and Budd Lapham. Throughout his life he owned
several businesses including Dedham Exxon, L&L office repair, and
was a Mac and Matco Tools salesman. He moved to Durham, NH
in 1977. He remarried in 1994 to Nancy Jo Davis who passed
on Nov 1, 2008 at 70. |

Suzy is survived by a sister Sara Fogg and her husband Robert of Wellesley MA, nephew, Gary Pappalardo of Brookline MA, niece, Jeanne Quinn and her husband Shaun and children Oshun and Xander of Greenland NH and nephew, Robert Fogg III and his fiancé Melissa Wallace of Manchester NH. Suzy attended grammar school in West Hartford Ct and Wellesley MA, graduated from Wellesley High School in 1958 and attended Middlebury College and Boston University. She earned bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Rhode Island. Suzy worked as a Programmer/Analyst/Consultant for the Academic Computer Center, University of Rhode Island; Narragansett Bay Data System, Narragansett Bay Project; SEARCH (Rhode Island Health Services Research); Computer and Information Services, Brown University; Central New Hampshire Community Mental Health Services; and for the last 12 years in Information Services at Dartmouth Mary Hitchcock Hospital. She retired in December 2005. Throughout her career she served on many committees and wrote numerous technical presentations and publications in her field. She lived near water most of her life and loved to sail, canoe, kayak and windsurf. She also worked in jewelry, photography and was an avid reader. There will be an internment in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford CT and a service of remembrance at the chapel at Dartmouth Mary Hitchcock Medical Center at times yet to be determined. June 21, 2006Deborah (French) Cassis, 65, of Westerly, R.I.WESTERLY, R.I. -- Deborah (French) Cassis died peacefully June 21, 2006, at Westerly Hospital.She was the wife of Ernest P. Cassis. Born in Boston, the daughter of the late John and Joanne (McGill) French, she was a florist and a certified Ikebana instructor, and taught Ikebana locally at Westerly High School. A member of the Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Boston and the Ikenobo Ikebana Society of the N.Y. Tachibana Chapter, she had done the Ikebana demonstration at the 19th annual Newport Black Ship Festival.Mrs. Cassis was a past president of the Friends of Ringwood Manor in New Jersey. She served on the Tuxedo Volunteer Ambulance Corps in Tuxedo Park, N.Y., and was a volunteer at Harmony Therapeutic Riding Center in Hopkinton, R.I. She will be remembered for her devotion to family and community and her passionate love of nature and gardening. Besides her husband, she leaves two children, Stephen W. Chapin of Natick, and Cynthia C. Kuchenbecker of Monroe, Conn.; two grandsons, Bret and Tyler Kuchenbecker; and her siblings, Charles French of Durham, Maine, Andrea Kelly of Newton and Frederick Kelley of Virginia.A memorial service will be held at a later date. J. Giovanella, 54 Born in Wellesley, Mr. Giovanella was a resident of Medway for the past 27 years. For the past 16 years, he was the owner and president of Weld-Braze, Inc., a Bellingham-based manufacturing and fabrication company of steel tubing. He graduated from Wellesley High School in 1958 and attended North-eastern University. From 1957 to 1963 he served with the 267th Communications Group of the Massachusetts National Guard in Wellesley. Mr. Giovanella was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a former member of the Medway and Bellingham Business Clubs. He was also a member of the Minutemen, Cape Cod and MARCON chapters of the Model "A" Ford Restoration Club of America. While active in these organizations, he was the recipient of many awards and the first person in the United States to receive the national MAFCA award. He is survived by his wife, Jo-Ann (Arsenault) Giovanella of Wellesley; two sons, John E. Giovanella and Christopher J. Giovanella and Christopher's wife, Marlene Giovenella, all of Medway; two sisters, Virginia Pollock of Cotuit and Lois Treacy of Peabody; one granddaughter, Ashlee Ann Giovanella of Medway; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Francis J. Giovanella of Medway. A funeral Mass was said March 9 at St. Joseph's Church in Medway. McCadam, 38 Mr. McCadam had taught school at the Gilford Middle High School, and was presently a sales engineer for Hope Company of Fitchburg, Mass. He was a member of the First Unitarian Church of Laconia, and had attended the Unitarian Universalist Church of Keen. Members of his family include his wife, Mrs. Krisanne (Riley) McCadam of Keene; one son, Seth R. McCadam of Keene; one daughter, Miss Kendra R. McCadam of Keene; his mother, Mrs. Jean Limrick, and stepfather, William E. Limrick, both of Pompano Beach, FLa.; one brother, Douglas McCadam of Vail, CO; and one sister, Miss Barbara McCadam of Cincinnati, OH. A memorial service for Mr. McCadam will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at the First Unitarian Church of Laconia. The will be no calling hours.
